My name is Rūta, and I am a mom of three with a background in stage design. Over time, I discovered that my personality suits working quietly and independently in my studio rather than in the theater. Here, I create my own “scenery”- for my home and for yours - where every detail can be seen and appreciated up close.

Working from home allows me to create without hurry and simply make what I love. I have always enjoyed knitting and sewing, and I’ve always admired tiny, lovely things. Little by little, this passion grew into my small brand of nursery mobiles, u-ta-ta-ta. 

The animals were first created as small toys. Later, by custom request, they found their way onto baby mobiles. Their playful purpose remains - simply detach the animals from the strings and they become sweet, long-lasting toys. They are made to be sturdy and safe for play, can stand on their own, and can also be used as Christmas or Easter decorations. I believe this multi-functional quality is important. All of my animals are hand-knitted using my own original patterns, and I do my best to use eco-friendly materials.
